I have been teaching for 10 years in Rushford and 14 years total. I am originally from Houston County and graduated Winona state University with my Masters in K-12 Education May of 2011. I have one child named Tamzyn and she is almost 6 years old!! The art forms I am specialized in are ceramics and painting, however; I am well versed in many disciplines. I really enjoyed teaching an adult ceramics class last year and hope to offer more adult enrichment classes soon.
In my free time I can be found at a horse barn where I enjoy helping with lessons, taking lessons, and jumping my Grey Appendix named "Remington". I recently started training in dressage with my paint " Rio" . My Family and I enjoy bass fishing with family, hiking with our dogs, and hunting during the seasons that allow for it.
I am excited to spend the summer hanging out with my nieces, show jumping, creating wonderful art and jewelry. Hopefully it is a beautiful summer full of as many surprises as my year has had. I hope you all have a great summer as well. Take an art class if you get the chance!

Silverware Jewelry
My father and I got board one rainy day I happened to be visiting the farm. I got a bug bite of inspiration and just had to create some type of necklace out of a fork....then a spoon....then an old key.... and before I knew it I had a collection of found object jewelry. Then my sister in law and others joined me. Upon returning to school, several students created them as well. I love the contagious nature of creating!!!!
